Auramarine powers Finnlines’ green shift

The ships, designed by Deltamarin and scheduled for delivery in 2028 and 2029, will operate on the Finland–Germany route.

Methanol-ready

Each 240-metre vessel will feature multi-fuel engines capable of running on methanol.

With capacity for 5,100 lane metres of cargo, accommodation for 1,100 passengers and space for 60 cars, the ships combine high operational capability with a significantly reduced environmental footprint.

Additional green technologies, including advanced hull and propeller design, shore power readiness and waste heat recovery, will further cut CO₂ emissions compared with current vessels on the route.

The Auramarine systems, including control and ESD automation, will be delivered to the vessel builder, China Merchants Weihai Shipyard, between autumn 2026 and winter 2027.
