China claims world’s first battery seagoing vessel
China has built what it says is the world’s largest and ‘China’s first built pure electric high-end intelligent seagoing vessel’.
The China Classification Society (CCS) says it has finished the construction survey and certification of Ningyuan Diankun, which was built by the Jiangxi Shipbuilding Company and has been funded by the Ningbo Ocean Shipping Company, near Shanghai.
