Hull, foils and diverging CTV designs: Part One
Wind farm decarbonisation has been hitting the headlines, but electrifying a standard crew transfer vessel won’t yield the needed endurance, so some are returning to the drawing board.
Batteries don’t quite cut the mustard yet for crew transfer vessels, although developments are continuing apace. In the meantime, designers are assessing other changes they can make to their vessels.
