Next Geosolutions Europe is teaming up with the Norwegian shipyard Green Yard Kleven to convert an offshore vessel into a high-spec seabed survey vessel

The NG Explorer is 58 metres long, 14 metres wide, and has a 4.5 metre draft, making it suitable for shallow water operations.

Built in 2010 as an offshore vessel and recently used in aquaculture, the ship will now be adapted for offshore energy sector tasks, including geophysical, geotechnical, environmental and unexploded ordnance seabed investigations.
