Princess Royal names lighthouse support ship
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Patron of the Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB), has officially named the organisation’s newest vessel during a ceremony at Forth Ports Cruise Terminal in Leith on 21 January 2026
Marking the historic occasion, The Princess Royal broke a bottle of new make whisky spirit from the Port of Leith Distillery against POLE STAR’s hull, formally naming the vessel in front of invited guests and representatives from across the maritime sector.
