Rolls-Royce powers African electric ferry route

Rolls-Royce will supply eight mtu electrical generators powering Baleària’s electric ferry project, enabling emissions free shipping on a new Europe–Africa route.

From 2027, the vessels will operate the 18-nautical-mile route between Tarifa, Spain and Tangier, Morocco, creating the first green maritime corridor linking Europe and Africa.
