A new Scottish hybrid electric ferry has completed its first sea trials, marking a major milestone in one operator’s vessel build and marine propulsion testing programme.

Sea trials for the new Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) MV Isle of Islay ferry were conducted by Cemre Marin Endustri in Yalova, Turkey, in the Sea of Marmara.
