Two workboats line up for battery power
Marine battery firm AYK Energy is supplying battery systems for two workboat projects including a new diesel-electric dredger and the conversion of a port patrol vessel to fully electric propulsion.
The first project is a new TSHD1000 trailing suction hopper dredger being built by Damen Shipyards in the Netherlands for UK Dredging, part of Associated British Ports.
