The Netherlands De Groot Nijkerk has received a repeat order from an African client for a dismountable cutter suction dredger specially designed to tackle annual siltation problems in inland waterways. These are in fact irrigation channels which silt up during the rainy season, threatening vitally important crops of sugar cane, sorghum, cotton and wheat.
