Dredging International to Deepen Access to Bulgarian Port

Belgian contractor Dredging International has signed a ¢ 30m contract for the expansion and deepening of the access channels to Port of Bourgas, the second biggest port in Bulgaria. In a statement, Dredging International said the contract was awarded after very stiff competition from two other groups. Work on site was scheduled to start by the end of 2006.

Dredging International will broaden and deepen the 12km long fairway serving Bourgas to a depth of minus 15.78m (currently 11m)
