Powerful SOLAS system
Alphatron Marine of the Netherlands has brought out its next generation maritime public address and general alarm system, the AlphaAnnounce Digital.
The heart of the system is an 8 channel digital amplifier with a separated A and B section with built-in matrix and Digital Sound Processor with an efficiency of over 90%. From the line transfer unit this results in 2*320W continuous power for the 100V speaker lines.
The system confirms with SOLAS/IMO/IEC and all mayor Classification Authorities’ rules and regulations. The Maritime Type Approval certification process has started.
For passenger vessels and vessels with large crew a dual rack A & B system is available where all components are redundant. The A system is the master controlling both systems, in case of failure the B system will automatically become the master.
