IHC delivery to Subsea7
Dutch cutter dredger construction company, IHC Beaver Dredgers, has delivered another Delta Multi Craft (DMC) 1200 workboat to the UK’s seabed-to-surface engineering firm, Subsea7.
The multi purpose, heavy duty workboat has been designed and built within the specification of IHC’s DMC series for the dredging industry. The workboat can be used for a variety of marine operations in sheltered and shallow waters and has a rectangular hull to offer stability with a large working area.
The 12.45m DMC 1200 workboat was supplied from stock to ensure a minimum lead time. It will used by Subsea7 with the previously delivered IHC Beaver 1200 cutter dredger, for operations in Western Africa. It will assist the dredger with its daily tasks including pushing and pulling, buoy handling and the ferrying of personnel goods such as oil and water.
Other vessel attributes include a hydraulic deck crane, positioned in the centre of the front of the ship to create maximum load crane capacity and optimise deck space.
