Mojo Maritime project to revolutionise industry
UK renewable energy specialist, Mojo Maritime, has introduced its ‘High Flow Installer Project’, which it says “will revolutionise the industrialisation o f the tidal energy sector.”
The project provides a low risk, low cost installation method which tackles all aspects of the offshore operations for a large tidal energy array, including working in the most aggressive sites and making the use of these high energy sites achievable.
In recognition of the project, Mojo recently won the Installation Company of the Year and the Innovation Award at the annual International Tidal Energy Summit.
Managing Director of Mojo Maritime, Richard Parkinson, said: “Mojo Maritime is entering a new and very exciting era and the huge vote of confidence received from the industry in way of these prestigious awards highlights the important role of Mojo in the industrialisation of the tidal energy sector.”
In order to develop the project, Mojo has formed a partnership with Bauer Renewables, Voith Turbo, Det Norske Veritas and the University of Exeter, with backing from the Technology Strategy Board.
The company has also carried out a restructuring and reinvestment programme to build the company’s profile and develop its capabilities. Martin Wright has joined Mojo Maritime as chairman and Ferdinand Dees as operations director, to help complete the project.
