PIX picks up DNV
PIX hydraulic hose and end-fittings have been awarded DNV (Det Norske Veritas) MED (Marine Equipment Directive) Type Approval.
This recognition is in addition to the DNV certification that was previously conferred upon the company in 2008.
The MED Type Approval is an unbiased third party certification attesting to a product’s adherence to specific standards or specifications, and verification of an appropriate production quality system. This approval is strongly recommended for products used in high performance industries, in particular, marine, mining and offshore, endorsing their quality and safety.
PIX Hydraulics (Europe) Ltd is the European hydraulics arm of PIX Transmissions Ltd, manufacturer of mechanical and fluid power transmission products which are supplied to customers in over 75 countries. PIX has locations in the UK in Ipswich, Cardiff and Lisburn, with other locations in Germany, the United Arab Emirates, India and China.
