Flying Fish at Seawork

The first BBV500 from Flying Fish Hovercraft will be seen at Seawork International in Southampton this month.

Flying Fish Hovercraft, Europe’s leading Hovercraft manufacturer, has commenced production of the largest hovercraft in its range, to be called the BBV500. This will be a commercial craft, designed for heavy duty work operating across a wide range of surfaces including water, mud, ice, grass, sand and concrete. Flying Fish will build the craft at its Kent factory as exclusive licensed manufacturer from the legendary hovercraft designer Bill Baker.

The 5.25m hull of the BBV500 has exceptional carrying capacity of up to six people or 500 kg, which makes it an ideal safety craft in areas that boats or other vehicles cannot reach. With a speed of up to 35 mph, the craft can quickly reach its destination and with the option of an open work craft or with full cabin to protect the crew from extreme elements, the Flying Fish BBV500 can be customised for specific applications.
