It also announced a Dynamic Positioning Centre in London which has subsidiary centres in Brazil, Croatia, India and Singapore.

According to the Norwich UK based company’s managing director, Phil Harris, the system is designed to provide training support for a wide range of safety critical DP operations undertaken from survey vessels, offshore support craft, floating production units and drilling rigs. It basically comprises a survey display and a 3D visualisation of a typical oilfield for ultra-realistic presentation of scenarios on large high resolution monitors. Training is conducted under IMO and IMCA guidelines, with the Nautical Institute in London responsible for certification of all UK operators in addition to those from other countries.
