Thames Estuary plan

The UK Environment Agency is looking for a contractor to deliver flood prevention work in the Thames Estuary worth up to £485m.

The Agency has published an OJEU notice for work on the first phase of the Thames Estuary Plan (TE2100). It is now looking for a delivery partner for flood prevention work over the next decade covering the Tidal Thames from Teddington in West London, through to Sheerness and Shoeburyness in Kent and Essex. Work will cover flood protection walls and embankments and active assets includes flood barriers and other structures with moveable gates, outfalls and pumping stations. Up to five bidders will be invited to tender and companies must express an interest by October 18.
