Seawork 2014 set for growth
Following its strongest performance to date in its 16 year history, next year’s Seawork International exhibition and conference will see more stands, facilities and opportunities than ever before.
With year-on-year reservations showing positive growth, organiser Mercator Media, has made the decision to increase the floor plan by a further 15% on 2013 by opening up the whole of Hall C.
This was also in response to returning exhibitors requesting larger stands.
A high number of exhibitors had already re-booked for 2014 by the end of August 2013, including Bainbridge International, Marine and Industrial Transmissions and Australia’s Strategic Marine.
Also on the 2014 exhibitor list already are Damen Shipyards, Harken, Furuno, Hamilton Jet and Scania, among others.
The exhibition also has up to 60 working vessels on display for demonstration, 300m of quayside exhibits and features and an on-site conference covering topical issues affecting the commercial marine and offshore energy industries.
To facilitate faster entry for the 7,000 plus visitors expected in 2014, and to improve traffic flow throughout the exhibition and onto the quayside and pontoons, two registration areas (in Halls A and C) are planned.
Coaches from the free car parks and Southampton Central Station will drop off alternately to both entrances to spread the influx of visitors.
Seawork International 2014 will take place at ABP’s Port of Southampton from 10 to 12 June.
