Pains Wessex gets into the festive spirit
Pains Wessex staff have raised much needed funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) by taking part in a Father Christmas Fun Run.
Global director of finance, Claire Newland and her husband Mark, sales manager Chris Feibusch and Chris Peddle, took part in the 10km charity run in Southsea, UK on 15 December. They joined thousands of Santas raising money for the Portsmouth RNLI.
Chris Feibusch said: “The run itself was along Southsea’s seafront and it was a little cold, a little wet and quite windy! Claire even missed one of the course markers and ended up running an extra two kilometres for good measure!”
“The RNLI is an extremely important cause and one which is very relevant for us. The RNLI uses a lot of Pains Wessex products – every crew member carries two day and night signals in their lifejacket and all the boats carry our products as standard safety equipment. The parachute illuminating rocket is used extensively in night search and rescue operations to illuminate the area. We are very proud to have an exceptional working relationship with the RNLI,” he added.
