Docking Solutions wins pontoon contract
UK-based Docking Solutions is to design, supply and install 33m of pontoons, a bridge system and bank seat for Looe Harbour Commissioners.
The work, which has been part grant funded through the Marine Management Organisaiton (MMO) from the European Fisheries Fund, consists of two pontoons, each 16.5m long, plus an access bridge which rises and falls with the tide, and a bank seat.
“A lot of our work involves major projects all over the country. We are delighted to be asked to design, manufacture and install these pontoons and associated structure which will enhance the harbour facilities,” said Will Robertson, contracts manager, Docking Solutions.
Over the past few years, Looe Harbour Commissioners has undertaken and planned a number of projects to improve the amenities and facilities of West and East harbours for both leisure and commercial fishing users.
Docking Solutions produces bespoke pontoons, bridges and access systems tailored to meet a client’s specific needs.
