CTruk workboats for OTS
UK-based Offshore Turbine Services (OTS) is adding two more CTruk multi-role composite catamaran workboats to its six-strong CTruk fleet.
The company says speed, flexibility, minimum vessel downtime and cost-effectiveness are its main focus points and the reason for its CTruk fleet.
CTruk’s use of a vacuum infusion process to build composite craft to the highest standards, saving around 40% on weight and optimising hull hydrodynamics, means that these robust workboats burn less fuel.
The latest 20 tonne vessel to join the fleet, Lieutenant P, has proven a total fuel consumption of 100 litres per hour at 2000rpm and 20 knots, according to OTS.
Master P will join the OTS fleet at the end of May 2014.
