Saab Seaeye adds to ROV fleet
Underwater equipment supplier, Subsea Vision, has acquired another Saab Seaeye ROV to take advantage of more opportunities coming its way from from the offshore, hydro power and marine civil engineering industries.
The new Saab Seaeye Cougar XT Compact is ideal for working in constrained spaces and in high current areas. It also has easy tooling integration and can undertake long excursions.
The ROV minimises the effects of currents with its reduced size, buoyancy and weight and a thin 17mm tether cable that reduces the effects of drag.
It also has six thrusters, four horizontal and two vertical for precise control in all directions and a solid state gyro for enhanced azimuth stability.
