Supacat acquires BUKH Diesel UK
Supacat Group has acquired BUKH Diesel UK and has signed a new distribution agreement with BUKH A/S Denmark to offer a “comprehensive customer support service”.
Signed at METS 2014 taking place in Amsterdam this week, the agreement will, for the first time, see BUKH A/S provide sales, spares, maintenance and training for its full range of SOLAS-approved engines and other products.
“The acquisition of BUKH Diesel UK and our new agreement with BUKH A/S marks an exciting development in the growth of our marine business,” said Nick Ames, managing director, Supacat Group.
“The synergies between Supacat Group and BUKH A/S provide customers with an enhanced offering and open up significant opportunities for us to establish a consistent and strong presence for BUKH in the UK and Ireland market,” he added.
Supacat says the acquisition complements its acquisition of MDS Marine earlier this year and creates a one-stop shop within the Group for sales and support in the inboard and outboard propulsion market for 200hp to 500hp diesel powering super yachts, rubs and a range of small outboard motors from BUKH A/S.
