Another Alicat CTV order
Dalby Offshore and Alicat Workboats have signed another contract for a seventh newbuild Alicat 23m Crew Transfer Vessel which will strengthen Dalby’s current windfarm fleet.
The Dalby Don is set to be delivered in July 2015 is a sister vessel to the Dalby Swale delivered during 2014 that has worked on the Greater Gabbard and London Array Offshore Wind Farms.
Powered by twin MAN V12 1400hp with Rolls Royce FF550 water jet propulsion, the vessel is high manoeuvrable with a ROCS vector stick making challenging conditions easy to navigate. Noise levels are kept to a minimum of sub 60dBA in the main saloon providing a more comfortable environment for crew members.
Dalby Offshore already operates six Alicat build CTV’s. Steve Thacker, general manager, Alicat Workboats Ltd, said that the company is currently working on further projects that it hopes to announce early in the new year.
