Black Sea oceanopgraphic atlas
A single volume bilingual oceanographic atlas of the Black Sea and neighbouring Sea of Azov, providing improved information for regional marine economic activities and scientific research, has been published by the Ukraine State Hydrographic Service (SHS) in Kiev.
Listing all legends and explanatory notes in English and Ukrainian, the publication contains comprehensive information on environmental conditions as well as other specifics of the two featured seas.
According to the SHS, it is the outcome of a decade long collaboration between Ukrainian hydrographers, oceanographers and cartographers and will be particularly invaluable to all those engaged in environmental management and monitoring tasks involving climatic, geological, hydrological and biologic studies.
