The firm has a long history of working with apprentices and has offered apprenticeship places for more than 25 years.

Divex’s Apprenticeship scheme encompasses all aspects of engineering, and the company recently made awards to two individuals who had completed it’s four year apprenticeship scheme. They were development technician Richard Shand and machinist Thomas Gilbert.

Danny Gray, general manager of production, who has overall responsibility for the Apprenticeship scheme said, Apprentices are a mainstay of our company’s operations and will continue to be an integral part of our recruitment, training and development strategy in the years ahead. Apprenticeships provide a structured programme and a first class development route for young ambitious people. They enable us to deliver the engineering and manufacturing skills that are required for the company’s long term future, ensuring that we remain the market leader globally.’

In recognition of its commitment to apprenticeship schemes the company began its annual sponsorship of the Aberdeen College end of year awards ceremony in 2007, with the Divex Technology & Innovation award given to the student the course lecturers felt demonstrated innovation and leadership skills throughout their studies.
