Backlash over seabed seismic surveys

The African Chamber of Energy says environmental activists are ’pitting science against conjecture’ after a high court blocked seismic surveys around the Wild Coast.

“In the absence of an established renewables infrastructure, this decision is likely to plunge even more citizens into darkness,” the chamber said, after Shell was banned from looking for oil and gas under the seabed.
