Star International wins cruise liner contract
UK marine and offshore services company Star International has won a contract to provide safety maintenance for three cruise ships.
Star International, a Seawork exhibitor, signed the contract with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines to inspect, maintain and repair fire-fighting systems and life-saving equipment on board the Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral.
The service will include checking the SOLAS inflatable life jackets used by the cruise ships, which are classified as smaller ships, with a length of 238 metres and width of 35 metres.
The ships have passenger capacity of more than 1,300 and crew of up to 640.
