Five-year contracts for NCS Survey
Aberdeen, UK-based NCS Survey, which reckons to have thus far completed over 750 projects in 36 countries, has been awarded a five-year contract by Akofs Wayfarer A/S of Norway for provision of positioning and survey sevices aboard Aker Wayfarer, its offshore construction vessel.
Recently mobilised in Peterhead, the deep-water vessel is destined for operation in Brazilian waters where it will be directly managed by NCS Survey’s local subsidiary in Rio de Janeiro.
Meanwhile, the Scottish company says it has also been awarded a similar-duration contract for supply of positioning facilities on offshore vessels operated by Ceona, the London-based subsea construction organisation. Mobilisation has already been completed on the first multi-purpose vessel, Norman Pacific, which is due to begin work in the Gulf of Mexico followed by later subsea operations offshore Nigeria.
