GEOxyz fleet expansion
GEOxyz, the Belgian survey organisation with subsidiary bases in France, Luxembourg, Netherlands and the UK, has expanded its fleet of vessels with the addition of Geo Ocean II, a specialist offshore support craft accommodating 23 personnel and crew.
Featuring enlarged survey facilities, it is designed to carry out geophysical survey work, ROV operations, seismic surveys, geotechnical sampling and environmental surveillance.
A new 20-metre vessel with a hull-mounted multibeam system, Geo Surveyor X, has also been added to the company’s fleet. Able to complete a full range of site and cable route surveys among other operations, the multi-purpose vessel was officially named at the beginning of December by Belgium’s State Secretary for the North Sea, Bart Tommelein, at a ceremony attended by 120 guests.
