Helm Operations in European languages
Canadian marine software developer Helm Operations has announced that it now supports multiple languages within its dispatch and billing software, Helm Dispatch Manager. The move comes after a sharp increase in demand from Central and South American nations. The language offering will begin with Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese with other European languages to follow.
Helm Dispatch Manager is the harbour towage planning and invoicing product of Helm Operations, a company whose mission is to make record keeping and recording easier for managers and crews alike. Helm is used by more than 1,000 vessels around the world.
Ron deBruyne, CEO and Founder of Helm Operations said; “We’re excited to be able to deliver functionality in Spanish and Portuguese. It represents the kind of service we deliver here, language barriers should not be a barrier to effective operations.” deBruyne continued “With a relatively small workforce it is a big decision, one that represents a change in our operations too.” Helm Operations will provide the same level of support including twenty-four hour help desk in these two additional languages.
Some of the largest and most respected workboat companies in the world, such as Svitzer, Blessey Marine Services, Florida Marine Transporters, and McAllister Towing and Transportation, trust their fleet management to Helm Marine Operations software. Developed specifically for the harbour towage, tug & barge, and offshore support vessel industries, Helm claims its software increases operational efficiency, creates better processes and improves accountability across a workboat company. Helm Operations is a subsidiary of Japan’s ClassNK classification society.
