IESSG Funding Grants

The Institute of Engineering Survey & Space Geodesy at Nottingham University is offering a range of funding opportunities for its postgraduate degree, diploma and short courses for 2003-4.

The company points out that the data is essential for many marine activities, such as coastal and offshore engineering, shoreline protection, environmental and ecology studies, fishing, civil security and emergency response planning. Applications typically include the creation of surface models, volumetric or rate of change calculations, and as input into hydrodynamic or environmental models often used for site selection, route definition and seabed mobility studies.

Specific funding is available for the Satellite Positioning Technology course while eight European Social Fund bursaries are also available for Satellite Positioning Technology, Environmental Management & Observation, Navigation Technology, and Geodetic Surveying courses.
