ZIM to charter six newbuild vessels

Investors led by MPC Capital have announced a new charter transaction for up to six vessels with the ZIM container shipping line.

Six 5,500 teu newbuild wide-beam vessels will be chartered by global container shipping firm ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, the company said on March 30. 

It will charter the vessels, which will be built at the Korean shipyard H J Shipbuilding & Construction, for seven years with a total charger hire consieration of up to $600 million.
