Skandia Gateway project

Works to turn Sweden’s largest port into one that can accept the world’s largest ships have been stalled because of dredging costs.

The biggest container ships can only enter the Port of Gothenburg half loaded because of their growing size and the port’s inadequate width or depth, so a project mooted in 2017 set out to address this.
