One such key contract disclosed at Southampton concerned award of two multi-million Euro undertakings to the Anglo-Italian geoscience and engineering group Next Geosolutions for work on the North Sea Link (NSL) project, the 730km high voltage electricity link between Norway and the UK due to become operational in 2021.
The first project involves cable protection survey work for Statnett, the Norwegian transmission system operator, while the second will cover general offshore cable route and unexploded ordnance (UXO) surveys in addition to survey and route preparation methods.
Both ventures are being carried out aboard Next Geosolutions’ latest addition to its 17-vessel fleet, a DP 2 multi-purpose supply craft equipped with both ROV and ROTV systems, Levoli Cobalt.
