Ness Lock on Windpower?
A renewable energy centre of excellence could be built at Lowestoft UK to help put the East Anglia region in prime position for the emerging windpower market. A report by the East of England Development Agency envisages a cluster of offices at the base of the giant turbine at Ness Point proposed by SLP Energy which would develop into a hotbed of renewable energy technology.
P&O is proposing to build a major container port at the Thurrock, Essex site and, with partner Shell, a major logistics and commercial centre. The proposals are for separate and free standing projects which could be developed independently or together.
