New Accesory Bracket for Square Rails from the USA
For applications that require mounting accessories on square rail, Johnson Marine of Connecticut USA has introduced a new accessory bracket which provides a simple but secure method of mounting accessories to an existing rail.
One current order is for three grabs to be used on board the Transhipper, a floating bulk transhipment ship being built at the Remontowa Shipyard in Gdansk, Poland for operation near a 1,200MW coal-fired power generating station at Iskendren in Turkey.
One useful application consists of the husky stainless steel bracket coupled to Johnson’s 14.43cm nylon coated aluminium cleat, useful on boats where additional cleats are needed to secure fenders and other equipment. Installation or removal involves snapping the bracket onto any 3.175cm square rail and tightening the clamp with a screwdriver, or the reverse.
