New amphibious dredge from Dragflow
Italian dredging specialist Dragflow has introduced a dredge that they claim can easily work in every kind of conditions, even when the water level is minimum.
Using two lateral tracked floaters, it can move on the ground like standard earth moving machine but the additional central floaters allow it to float on the water surface with high stability like standard Dragflow dredges.
Furthermore, the company claims that the machine can work in halfway conditions like muddy and soft soils, shallow waters and swamps.
The extreme mobility in any kind of wetland or estuary conditions and the full buoyancy, allow the Amphibious to reach the most remote location otherwise impossible to get with any other equipment.
The new Dragflow Amphibious Dredge (DRM85/160E22) is not just an excavator machine able to work also in the water. Dragflow describes it as a perfect floating dredge suitable for working on any type of soil.
The Dredge is equipped with a diesel engine (260 Kw) to run the hydraulic power pack. The dredging unit consists of a Dragflow HY85/160 plus two EXHY20 cutters, with a Jet Ring System with high-pressure water jets to help the pump in the driest dredging conditions.
