New Noordhoek vessel completes trials – by David Goodfellow
Dutch bathymetric and acoustic specialists Noordhoek Survey of Zierikzee has completed trials of their third subsea ROV survey vessel, ‘Noordhoek Pathfinder’, prior to its deployment in the North Sea for geophysical and hydrographic surveys as well as pipeline and geotechnical investigations.
Built by De Hoop Foxhol, the vessel accommodates up to 40 personnel and is equipped with a full range of state of the art resources, including a Grade 2 dynamic positioning system, Klein sidescan sonars, a Reson 7125 multibeam sounder, Veripos Ultra Differential GPS positioning and inspection class ROV units.
