New Port Management Alliance
A new alliance has been formed between British Maritime Technology Ltd (BMT) and International Infrastructure Management Pty Ltd (IIM) in Brisbane, Australia. The new company, to be called BMTMaritime Consultants Pty Ltd , will provide port management consultancy services around the world.
The vessel is equipped with a 500 ton winch and a total engine power of 3,500bhp, with a bollard pull of 285 tons. She is particularly suitable for anchor handling in deep water and can also carry out supply services as well as work in connection with subsea operations.
The new operation gives BMT a greater presence in the booming Australasian ports market. With port management consultancy services now focussed through BMT Marine Consultants, IIM will continue to seek out investment and management opportunities while folding its consultancy projects into the new company.
