The company claims that periodic inactivity could extend a Max’s life to three or more years, something well beyond the capability of conventional seabed transponders. Moreover, using its wideband signal technology, a network of transponders can be used to provide DP and survey references for different vessels undertaking various tasks simultaneously.
Meanwhile, other Compatt 5 transponders have also recently been delivered to hydrographic survey and diving equipment rental specialists, Unique System LLC in Houston. They will be used to support clients and offshore projects throughout the Gulf of Mexico.
