New venue for Seawork Conference
This year’s Seawork International, the commercial marine exhibition organised by Mercator Media Ltd, will feature a new conference venue, the ‘Ocean Scene.
Now in its 18th year, Seawork, which takes place from 16 to 18 June, is expected to attract well over 7,500 visitors this year and a record number of exhibitors.
Exhibitors from all corners of the globe will attend the event, which will cover all aspects of commercial maritime products and services, from abrasion protection right through to hydrography and security.
Free to attend, the conference will run throughout the three-day event, bringing industry professionals together to network, discuss emerging topics and sector trends and exchange information and ideas.
The conference programme, which is yet to be finalised, already includes a number of speakers including the UK Ministry of Defence procurement team, and the Solent Offshore Renewable Energy Consortium (SOREC), which will discuss how it can help companies prepare for the Navitus Bay and Rampion offshore windfarm projects and other offshore opportunities.
Elsewhere, the Innovations Awards evening will feature the annual Spirit of Innovation Award for Seawork exhibitors which, in the past 12 months, have introduced innovative new products, vessels, services or projects to the industry. Deadline for entries is 7 May 2015.
