Gardline US subsidiary expands operations
Alpine Ocean Seismic Survey, the US subsidiary of UK based Gardline Group with offices in New Jersey and Houston, has expanded its marine data collection facilities with the addition of geotechnical services using globalised expertise provided by Gardline Geosciences of Great Yarmouth.
The facilities cover equipment and data processing technologies for cone penetration testing (CPT), offshore heave-compensated drilling and seabed sampling for projects ranging from nearshore surveys to offshore ventures in depths down to 3,000m.
The development marks a further stage in the American company’s growing range of activities following the commissioning earlier last year of a new multi-purpose research vessel with accommodation for up to 20 personnel, RV Shearwater. Its specialities cover dedicated support for wind, tidal, civil engineering, shoreline protection, submarine cable, pipeline, oil and natural gas projects.
