Intelligent GPS Units
French company Cadden has launched a multipurpose system for synchronising data from differing sensors in UTC (Universal Time Clock) time and space with a facility for integrating high-precision GPS positioning, data acquisition and measurement functions.
The order includes supply of NETmc Marine’s DVR Pro pipeline inspection-recording system that synchronises playback of the typical three ROV camera views of a pipeline survey. Also commissioned is an SDK (software development kit) which will enable Surespek to interface its own SIMS package, a computerised data acquisition and reporting system for pipelines, to the DVR Pro;
Communication ports permit logging and time-tagging of various types of data with millisecond accuracy. Depending on application, the system can be connected to one or more external sensors such as a motion or attitude assembly, gyro compass or inclinometer.
Weighing just 1.2kg the compact device is ideally suited for a wide range of applications such as navigation, geodesy and environmental surveying.
