NetSurvey buys further Seabat sonars
In a deal concluded at last month’ s Ocean Business 2009 event in Southampton UK, Banbury based NetSurvey has ordered two SeaBat 7125-SV dual head multibeam sonar systems from Reson of Denmark.
Featuring new transceivers and supplied with pre-installed software for data acquisition and display as well as processing via a common hardware platform, the systems also include four video outputs to allow for helm displays and multiple user options.
NetSurvey, whose recent projects have included supplying quality control personnel for supervision of AUV surveys by BP in Angola, says it plans to use the new systems at home and abroad on a variety of applications requiring ultra-high resolution. Both are being supplied with SVP-71 sound velocity probes and will complement earlier SeaBat sonar units already operated by the company.
