Seatronics expands Houston base
A $250,000 calibration laboratory and cable moulding facility doubling the size of its operations has been opened by Seatronics Inc at its Houston premises.
The company, part of the Aberdeen UK based Seatronics equipment rental group operating worldwide, claims that it will now be able to offer customers previously unavailable local calibration services in preference to them sending equipment back to manufacturers in the UK and Far East. A fast track service option will reduce turnaround times to just five days.
The calibration laboratory, which provides sound velocity, conductivity, depth and temperature calibrations conforming to national standards, is the only independent facility in the US for equipment brands such as those from Aanderaa, IxSea, Paroscientific, Sonardyne, Tritech International and Valeport. Seatronics currently maintains similar facilities at its Singapore and UK bases.
