Maersk wins 1-year contract for subsea support
Maersk Supply Service will operate its Maersk Nomad Subsea Support Vessel (SSV) with two ROVs on board to support drill ships in Guyana.
ExxonMobil has six ultra-deepwater drillships currently ioerating offshore Guyana in the Stabroek Block, which will now be looked after for at least a year by Maersk Supply Service’s Maersk Nomad.
Designed for work including subsea infrastructure deployment and recovery, inspection, maintenance and repair and well intervention work, Maersk Nomad has a 200-tonne full AHC crane, covered ROV garage for two WROVs and a helideck.
“This is a great milestone for Maersk Supply Service, as we expand our operations and offering in Latin America,” said Rafael Thome, managing director for the company in Brazil and Latin America.
