Schottel MD takes on simultaneous MD role at Elkon
Schottel sister company Elkon has appointed a new managing director, who will maintain his role as MD of Schottel Turkey.
Seçkin Uz will be dedicated to using various synergies between propulsion specialist Schottel and Elkon, which has been an electrical system integrator of electrical propulsion technology, electrical systems and automation for the maritime industry for more than 40 years.
He also intends to strengthen Elkon’s international growth and business development in the global maritime industry, the company says.
Seçkin Uz succeeds Ertuğ Yaşar, who held the position for nine years.
“We’d like to thank Ertuğ Yaşar for his outstanding work,” said Andreas Block, CEO of parent company Schottel Industries.
“Ertuğ, and with him all of the directors, shareholders and staff, have made a significant contribution to bringing the company to where it is today, demonstrating their commitment to their customers.”
Ertuğ Yaşar will leave elkon on 31 January 2024 and thus step down from all of his duties at the company.
