Schottel names new deputy CEO

Schottel has named its new deputy chief executive.

Roland Schwandt, deputy CEO of Schottel

Roland Schwandt takes up the post with effect from 1 January 2024, having been at the company for 24 years.

A graduate naval architect, Schwandt began his career at Schottel working in various sales segments.

After briefly managing the Tug & Offshore Energy segment, in 2018 he took up the post of vice president sales for Schottel and its now 14 subsidiaries, working with predecessor Andreas Block and Stefan Buch (vice president after sales service) on expanding the subsidiaries to offer greater customer service.

Alongside his role at Schottel, Roland Schwandt is a member of the supervisory boards of sister companies and represents Schottel in the major maritime associations.

At the beginning of the year, his predecessor Andreas Block went to work solely at industrial holding company Schottel Industries and remains closely connected to the future development of Schottel.
