Marine renewable energy activity in European waters is expanding rapidly. A recent UK report suggests supply chain requirements in British waters alone could realise £62bn in annual revenues and employ 145,000 people in manufacturing, installation and maintenance. Many European ports are now positioning themselves to serve as installation operations and maintenance bases.
